Finished tropical beds with palms and ornamentals surrounding a two-story home

Project — Garden Beds, Sarasota

Tropical beds & garden refresh

Overgrown, leggy planting cleared out and rebuilt to plan — layered palms, crotons, and lobster claw in clean stone-edged beds with a crisp mulch finish.

Plan & Scope

Replanted to a plant legend

Every bed was drawn before planting — species, quantities, and layering heights on paper, so the finished garden looks full from day one and fills in predictably from there.

Before

Every garden has a before

Overgrowth, woody leggy shrubs, and years of debris — this is what our crews pulled up to on day one.

Before: cleanup day with a debris trailer in the driveway

During the Build

Beds going in to plan

Old material hauled off, curved bed lines cut, then plants set by the legend — palms first, layers down to groundcover, finished with fresh mulch and stone edging.

After

The finished garden

Clean stone edges, fresh mulch, and layered tropical color — the same beds, rebuilt to the plan.

After: palms and ornamentals filling in around the home

Bed detail — color and texture layers

Planted full from day one — the layers knit together over the first two growing seasons.
